About Alan Wong
Alan Wong is the San Francisco Supervisor for District 4, which covers the Sunset and Parkside neighborhoods, and won the June 2026 special election for the seat after Mayor Daniel Lurie appointed him in December 2025. A lifelong Sunset resident and the son of immigrants from Hong Kong, he previously served five years on the City College of San Francisco Board of Trustees, including two terms as board president, and worked as a legislative aide at the Board of Supervisors and at the Children's Council of San Francisco. Wong has served in the California Army National Guard since 2009, and he began at City College before graduating from UC San Diego and earning a master's degree in public affairs from the University of San Francisco.
