About Catherine Stefani
Catherine Stefani is the California State Assemblymember for District 19, representing the western neighborhoods of San Francisco and northern San Mateo County, and is running for re-election in 2026. She previously served on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, where she was appointed and then won election in 2018 and re-election in 2022, and before that as San Francisco County Clerk. A former prosecutor with the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office, she founded the San Francisco chapter of Moms Demand Action. She grew up in Merced and holds degrees from St. Mary's College and McGeorge School of Law.
