About Jeremy Sherman
Jeremy Sherman is the Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for single member district 1A04 in Columbia Heights and is running for re-election. Sherman launched and chairs the ANC 1A Small Business and Economic Development Committee, founded the citywide ANC Vacant Property Caucus, and was invited by the DC Council Chairman to help develop the Vacant to Vibrant Amendment Act, which became law in 2025. Sherman has testified before the DC Council and District agencies on vacant-property reform, small-business support, street vending, and rats and trash, has advocated for a Neighborhood Management Authority for Columbia Heights, and has organized or taken part in more than 15 community cleanup events.
