About John Qua
John Qua is a nonpartisan candidate for Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner in Single Member District 4C06 (Petworth) in the November 3, 2026 general election in Washington, D.C. A 13-year D.C. resident who has lived in Petworth for five years, Qua has spent a career organizing around the country to elect candidates focused on climate, and is Campaign Director at Lead Locally, which supports state and city candidates working on the climate crisis. Locally, Qua organized for the Clean Energy DC Omnibus Amendment Act and in 2018 led the D.C. campaign against a proposed fracked gas pipeline under the Potomac River.
