About Laura Friedman
Laura Friedman is the U.S. Representative for California's 30th Congressional District, which includes Burbank, Glendale, West Hollywood, and parts of Los Angeles and Pasadena, and advanced from the June 2026 primary in her bid for re-election. She previously represented District 44 in the California State Assembly, where she chaired the Transportation and Natural Resources committees, and before that served on the Glendale City Council and as Mayor of Glendale. Before public service she worked as a film and television producer, and she holds a B.A. from the University of Rochester.
