About Scott Wiener
Scott Wiener is the California State Senator for District 11, which includes San Francisco, Daly City, Colma, and parts of South San Francisco and San Bruno, and is running for Congress in California's 11th Congressional District after advancing from the June 2026 primary. First elected to the State Senate in 2016, he previously represented District 8 on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors from 2011 to 2016 and worked as a Deputy City Attorney in San Francisco. He has chaired the Senate Budget, Housing, and Human Services committees, and he holds a bachelor's degree from Duke University and a law degree from Harvard Law School.
