YIMBYs (yes in my back yard) of Northern Virginia will make housing affordable to all by enabling the development of more and denser housing. Attainable homes close to jobs, opportunities, and amenities of daily life enable communities to be more socially connected, economically productive, and sustainable, environmentally and otherwise.
An acute housing shortage is causing the affordability crisis. Zoning, inefficient permitting, and other restrictions have made housing a financial hardship for most people. Moreover, zoning was created to exclude non-white and poor residents. We welcome new neighbors.

Back zoning reform and streamlined permitting so more homes are legal to build, especially near transit and jobs.

Turn out residents to the meetings that matter and make it easy to take a pro-housing position on local projects.

Work with neighbors, labor, faith groups, and builders toward a shared abundant-housing agenda.

YIMBYs of NoVA is a chapter of YIMBY Action.
One of the local groups organizing for more homes across the country, backed by the national team.
